Long Time, No Blog....

Not much to report. Sari is just growing like a weed. I can't believe she is 4 weeks old today. She is up over 12 pounds now and has developed a case of baby acne. Any suggestions as how to prevent or treat baby acne, let us know.

And to answer Auntie Heather's question....Yes, Sari has eyeballs!

SEEEEEEEEEE!

I wonder what hands taste like.

They taste good!!!

Busy Weekend

We had a busy weekend!!!! Sari attended her first "meeting" on Friday afternoon. The "meeting" is a weekly event in which Sari's Grampa Barry and all his biker friends (as well as some of us wanna be bikers) get together for beer and friendly conversation about life and Harleys. She was a big hit, even though nobody got to hold her except Auntie Janice and Gramma Brenda. Gramma Brenda just doesn't give her up once she gets her hands on Sari.

Later on that evening, Sari's cousins Ben and Ella, along with their parents Uncle Gord and Auntie Carrie, came for a visit from Winnipeg. We ordered pizza and then went to see Uncle Jason at work. He is a firefighter and said we could come down and see the fire trucks.

Ben was very excited and had a good time
crawling around in side the fire trucks.

Sari had lots of fun too.

Sari still having fun after we got back home.

On Saturday, Great Gramma Lil and Great Aunt Nancy stopped by for visit. GG sure does love her great grandkids. We got this picture by chance when Great Aunt Nancy wasn't mauling Sari!!

Some random cute pics!!

We will update as more stuff other than eating, sleeping and pooping happens!!!

Out and About

Sari has been on a few outings so far. Sheri, Sari & I went to the mall on Saturday, and then to Gramma & Grampa Crowes house for a beer. Sari doesn't really like beer but she is more than happy to let her daddy have a few. Sunday, we went back over to the Crowes for Easter supper and Sari got to meet the Crazy Plett family (Sheri's aunt & uncle). Sari didn't sleep for two days after that experience. Just kidding...she actually slept very well that night, probably from being passed around to so many people that day.

More poop stories to come.

Anyways, keep the comments coming. Sari loves to hear them!!!

I Am Psychic!!!!

Well...about five minutes after I sent out that e-mail about funny stories about poops, it happened!

Sheri is in the room at the time I was changing Sari's diaper. There was both a number 1 and 2. She farts as I take the old diaper off (Sari, not Sheri). I laugh, saying jokingly, "I guess she's not done!" It wasn't a joke.

Sari proceeded to poop a dijon mustard spray all over the changing station. Luckily, I still had the old diaper in my hand and used it to shield myself, but not before taking some napalm on my right middle finger. Sheri thought it was hilarious. I didn't find it funny until after I ran to the bathroom, screaming "Get it off me, it is sooo gross!", to wash my hands. She thought that was pretty funny too.

Anyways, I don't really want to discuss it anymore. I am a little traumatized, but I have learned my lesson. Always keep some sort of shield when changing a diaper.

Some more pics.

Jumping on the Blogwagon!!!

With a new little one, it's probably a good idea so family and friends can see what the blog is going on with our lives. The grandparents only really care what is going on in Sari's life so it will mainly be about her.

Here goes....
For those of you who don't already know, Sari Heather Potter is finally here, and she made quite an entrance. She was born at 5:01 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2007 via C-Section.

Sheri was induced Thursday afternoon, and started having regular contractions (about 3 minutes apart) at 7:30 p.m. It wasn't until 3:40 a.m. that the nurses realized that the baby was breech (bum down, not head down). It was too bad our doctor hadn't figured this out and saved Sheri the trouble of 9 hours of labor. But, they called in the OB-GYN, he did a quick ultrasound (literally 10 seconds) to be sure and then proceeded with an emergency section. After a whirlwind of activity with doctors, nurses, and me running around (I was actually running in circles because I wasn't sure what the hell I was supposed to do), Sheri was taken down to the operating room and Sari came into the world. Just a sidenote to all soon to be fathers and those in years to come, if your wife gets a C-Section, don't look past the little curtain if you have a queezy stomach. I was OK with it so I got a few quick looks during the procedure...very cool. I almost literally saw right through my wife.
Sheri and Sari both did amazing and I am so proud of Sheri. She was so tough and calm, I only dream I can be as cool as she was if I am ever faced with an obstacle like that.
