Happy New Year to all of our readers!! I can't believe that Christmas is over already. I was so hyped for it for so long, that when it finally arrived I think that I was all hyped out! What a day Christmas was. Chris got home around 7:00 in the morning from work and proceeded to head upstairs to bed for a couple of hours. Once the girls were up it didn't take long for my parents to follow. Hard to get any sleep in the basement when there are little feet running all over the place right above your head. Sari and Estella opened their stocking first, which seemed to go over pretty well. Later on we had breakfast, which Chris joined us for and then on to presents, that was the funny part! Estella slept through half of the present opening, which we totally expected. Sari on the other hand...well...let's just say that it didn't exactly go the way I thought it would. Instead of ripping through presents with great excitement, she opened one and then didn't want to open any more. She only wanted to play with that one, which was kind of cute. It seriously took over 2 hours to open her presents because we had to beg her to open each one. I even ended up opening a few for her. I think she was quite overwhelmed. We did however make it through the presents, some of which she opened before bed. Ever since Christmas though, she has been asking to open presents! Both girls got terribly spoiled though, as I'm sure did so many other kids. Sari hit the jackpot because she has adopted all of Estella's gifts as her own! Poor Estella. We had a nice quiet day. My parents were here and Chris's parents were here for a better part of the day as well. There was some drama. It wouldn't be Christmas without it! We didn't have a traditional Christmas turkey for dinner because we were having that the next day at Chris's sisters house, so we had prime rib roast with all the trimmings instead. My mom made yorkshire pudding. Well, let's just say that the oil drippings decided to catch fire and we had a grease fire in the stove. The flames apparently were as high as the microwave above the stove. My poor beautiful stove! Luckily they got it under control before any damage happened. The house however, was filled with smoke. I had the girls upstairs where it wasn't as bad. All was good though, except the yorkshire pudding which tasted a little smokey! All in all though, it was a great Christmas. We had a great family dinner at Carrie's the next day to enjoy even more of the season!
New Year's was spent at home with a sick little girl and another who apparently doesn't like to sleep anymore, not that she slept all that great anyway, but now it's worse. My youngest who would have nothing to do with the soother for the first 3 months of her life, will wake up if it's not in her mouth now. AHHHH!!!! At least now it is getting a little better, but I tell ya, for about 3 weeks, Chris and I thought we were both going to die from exhaustion. I wonder what life would be like if I wasn't tired all the time???
I am back working about once a week now. It is fun to get out of the house a little bit and put on a pile of makeup again. With all the new products they have right now, I think that my working is just going to support my cosmetic habit!
Anyway, all is well at the Potter house. We have started working on the office now. We are hoping to have the family room are, which includes the office and the bathroom, done by Sari's birthday, and that isn't far away! Pictures will follow at a later date. Sorry folks, I am off to bed! Need to sleep while I can!!

Kids Say the Darndest Things....
So, Sari is sitting at the dinner table with us having dinner the other night and she lets out a fart. She kind of smiles at us with this silly smile and says, "Sari tooted, Sari little piggy". Chris and I almost fell off our chair laughing, because she didn't miss a beat! I call her a little piggy whenever she farts, and I guess it sank in.

Happy December!
Isn't it nice that my husband finally put pictures on! It took awhile, but it was finally done.
I thought that I would update all of you on our girls seeing how there have been very few posts this past year and I need to start doing this more regularly.
Where do I start...well, I guess with Estella. She is getting big!! She is still not sleeping through the night. For the past week or so she has actually been getting up twice a night again, which makes me wonder if she goes through a growth spurt every two weeks, because that seems to be the average. She sleeps good for two weeks and then not for two weeks. I have stopped trying to figure her and her sleeping habits out. She will be my unpredictable child for sure! She is rolling over now as well. She started a couple of weeks ago and has been rolling ever since. I am really having to be aware of what toys are on the floor now because before I know it she is across the room. Sari has some toys with really small parts, so my day consists of telling her to put them away when she is done playing. As you can tell from the pictures, Estella also loves her jolly jumper. She squeals like you wouldn't believe in that thing. She definitely has a good set of lungs on her. When my sister was visiting I don't think she was really prepared for just how loud both of my children are! At times I just watched her sitting there with this very bizarre look on her face!! As unpredictable as Estella can be with her moods, she definitely is turning into a very happy child. Her huge smile will melt anybodys heart. She adores her sister. Anywhere that Sari is, Estella's eyes will follow. Like I said in the last post, Sari is still the only one that can make Estella laugh really hard. I really truly am blessed, because Sari doesn't really torment her sister either, at least not yet. She still refers to her as cute baby and tells Estella she loves her all the time. Estella is also on cereal now and taking it really well. I had tried it just over a month ago, and she wasn't quite ready yet, so I stopped it for a month and then tried it again. Second time was a charm! I am thinking that fruit and veggies are going to come within a couple of weeks. That should be interesting!
Sari is still the same happy and very outgoing child that she has always been. Never fear that she won't talk to you or introduce you to her whole family if you ever meet her on the street! She will definitely be a leader in life, not a follower. She just seems to be growing up so fast. I really want life to slow down a bit. Pretty soon she will be 3 and going to pre-school. I can't handle it! Sari is soooo excited about Christmas, not that I really think she understands that it is a real day or anything. We have been doing Christmas crafts, reading Christmas books and watching Christmas movies so that she can understand a little better this year as to what is going on and what the season is all about. She knows who baby Jesus is and who Santa is now. I bought the kids a Little People Nativity Advent calendar, so she has been learning the true meaning of Christmas through that and a book I bought her and learning about Santa through everything else. It seems like Santa is everywhere and Jesus only in a few spots...typical. She was so excited to decorate the tree this year. The morning we did decorate Chris and I found it hard to not get frustrated because she was so excited and not listening and on the verge of breaking everything. We tried really hard to just understand that she is 2 and only really excited and leave it at that. We did pretty good. Now every night before bed Sari wants to sit in the living room where the Christmas tree is, drink her milk and cuddle just looking at the tree. It melts my heart. I can hardly wait for Christmas morning! I am very ahead of the game this year, the presents are all bought and wrapped. No stress this Christmas season!
Chris is working hard as usual, but taking more time off as it is a busy month. We have been painting some walls and changing a few light fixtures, but nothing serious. We have great plans for the family room, office and bathroom downstairs after Christmas. It is very exciting for us! I am heading back to work at Holt Renfrew next Saturday. I am only doing 4 shifts this month, nothing serious. I am excited to put on a pound of makeup, do my hair and put on some pretty clothes again! I am looking forward to getting out of the house a little more. I am only going to continue on at Holts as casual though. I am enjoying being at home with the kids, especially now that Estella is a little happier.
Well, that's it. Expect more pictures and posts this month. December is an exciting month and I'm sure there is going to be more to update you all on in the coming weeks. I hope you all enjoy your Christmas season and the joy that it brings. Have a great Christmas to you all!

It's Been SOOOO Long!!
We are so sorry to all of you that follow our blog. I would like to say that we have a good excuse for not updating in 4 months, but we really don't. Life is just busy.
Where to start...well, I guess we'll start with the kids, seeing as how they are the purpose for this blog! Estella had her 4 month appointment a week and a half ago, and our little peanut is 14 lbs. 3 oz.and 24.5 inches tall. She definitely is smaller than Sari ever was, but I think that her height is around the same as what Sari was. I have no idea where either of my girls are getting their height from! It will be interesting to see if it stays!! Estella is getting better in the sense that she doesn't cry as much as she used to, but her sleeping hasn't really improved a whole lot. However, I guess we just have to accept the fact that we don't have another Sari, who seemed to take to sleeping very early. We have good weeks and bad weeks with Estella, she sometimes sleeps great, and other times is up every 3 hours. Oh well, that phase will too pass. She is smiling like crazy now, loves her sister to death, and has fallen in love with her jolly jumper! She gets some real air with that thing!! Sari is really the only person that can make Estella laugh so hard that she gets the hiccups. It is very cute. I am so glad that my girls have each other. Estella is not rolling over yet, but I am convinced it is because she insists on constantly being upright. I swear she is going to stand long before she even learns how to sit! Estella is also the little ham in her own right. However, she is more subtle than Sari ever is or was. She is constantly communicating with us and once we smile, which is usually right away, she'll sort of shift her eyes to see if anyone else is watching her and carrying on doing whatever it is she's doing, but just a little louder so that we can all hear. She is going to be our sarcastic and subtle comedian!
Sari is doing great as well. Her talking has come so far. There is very few words and sentences that I don't understand anymore. Some of her favorite sayings are: "Oh my goodness", (full of drama I might add!) "I'm so proud of you", "Good job", "Perfect"...I'm sure there are others that I just can't think of right now. She is full of animation, drama and humor. Once she has realized that what she says makes people laugh, well, that is just her invitation to keep going with whatever she is saying or doing! She is also extremely polite. Always saying please and thank you and very much enjoys burping just so she can smile and say excuse me afterwards. In fact, at each house she went to trick-or-treating, she said "trick-or-treaty" and always "thank you" after they gave her candy. I never had to remind her! It made me very proud!! She really does love her sister. She tries quite hard to play with Estella, but just doesn't quite understand that Estella isn't capable of playing with her back quite yet. We have Sari enrolled in Gymkyds and swimming lessons. She LOVES both and constantly asks to go to both. She is quite obsessed with Tinkerbell and Princesses right now, which suits me just fine, being a girly-girl myself. It is going to make Christmas very easy to shop for. Sari is definitely a breath of fresh air and having her around just makes our day full of so many smiles and so much fun! I am very much looking forward to watching her and Estella play together in the coming months and years.
Halloween was very fun this year. We went back to Brandon again, which I think we have decided to make an annual event. We got together with friends of ours and all took the kids out together trick-or-treating. Sari and her friend Macy had a great time strolling behind everyone and looking very cute in their chicken and puppy costumes. Sari was the chicken and would only be referred to as Chicken Little. After going out with the kids we got everyone bathed and into bed and then headed out with our friends to a Halloween social. It was great to get out without the kids for a night. Sunday was a busy day with Macy's birthday party and then I got some girlfriend time with my two wonderful friends Nicole and Christin for Christin's birthday celebration. All in all it was a wonderful weekend. I apologize to whoevers house we weren't able to get to with Sari in her costume. After trick-or-treating and going to visit a few family members, Sari was in definite meltdown mode and needed her bed.
Chris and I are doing the same. Chris is working like crazy and I am busy with the kids at home. I have purchased a gym membership to help with getting back into shape and am loving it and loving getting out of the house a few times a week. We haven't done a whole lot of renovations to our house in the past 6 months, but aren't to concerned about it. I think we'll start after Christmas again. We are enjoying taking time off from renovating homes. 14th street in Brandon almost killed us and are enjoying taking our time with this one.
I think that is it. I can't think of a whole lot else that has been going on. We have just been wrapped up with the kids. Well...what can I say? It's been far too long. Here's what happened in the past month or so.
Estella Lilian Potter was born on June 23, 2009 at 9:11 in the morning. She was 8 lbs. 10.1 oz.and 20 3/4" long. Sheri has been a trooper after her second C-section. This one was a little easier for her as she got a good sleep the night before and didn't have to go through any labor. The girls were only in the hospital for two days and then home. Sari was great the first time she met her new little sister, wanting to hold her and calling Estella "Cute Baby"! Since then has been a little tougher for Sari. Sheri wasn't allowed to lift anything heavier than the baby so picking up Sari was out of the question. This was tough on her and Sheri but that resriction is off and Mom and toddler are free to cuddle freely now.
Estella has been smiling up a storm lately. She has had a few bad nights where we haven't gotten much sleep...who am I kidding, it has been mostly Sheri not getting any sleep. She is getting to know night from day a little better now so she still gets up a couple of times during the night, but really only to feed. What we wouldn't give for 10 continuous hours of sleep!
Anyways, more to come. And now, PICTURES!!
